Esmond Kane recently joined Steward Health Care as Chief Information Security Officer (CISO)
and brings over 20 years’ experience leading IT and Security programs in multiple industries. In
his role at Steward, Esmond’s focus is on transforming Stewards approach to information
security, threat and risk management to comply with industry frameworks, regulations and best
practices. Prior to Steward, Esmond was Deputy CISO at Partners Health care working with
executives and advisors to apply his diverse and deep knowledge on cyber security and business
practice. Esmond has also held multiple IT and security roles in Harvard University, KPMG,
BIDMC and more. Esmond spends his days working with extremely smart and dedicated people
to overcome the challenges inherent in maturing security without compromising patient safety
and security, business productivity and the delivery of exceptional service.
